Park Winters Opens Farmstand at the Flower Farm

The Farmstand is the latest addition to the Park Winters Flower Farm serving seasonal brunches, drinks and shopping.

September 22, 2023 — The Park Winters Farmstand and Flower Farm has opened its doors for the first time on September 22. The private estate’s Flower Farm is now open to the public every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 3pm for brunch, beverages, shopping and experiences.

The public can look forward to a seasonal brunch with artisan sandwiches, soups, salads, cheese boards and desserts. Farm Bites range from $7 to $21. Reservations are recommended but not required. Walk-in guests can order craft cocktails, locally curated wine and beer, local coffee and Farm Bites at the Farmstand Bar.

Visitors can also shop at the Park Winters Marketplace for fresh and preserved flowers from the farm, housemade products including fig jam, botanical balsamic vinaigrettes and infused honey–made with ingredients from their organic farm.

“We are opening the Farmstand as it allows us to open the door to anybody and everybody,” said John Martin, co-owner of Park Winters. “The Farmstand is an opportunity for us to appeal to all walks of life and give everyone who visits the super special and warm hospitality we are known for.”

Rafael Galiano, co-owner, is also excited for the opening of the Farmstand. “People are going to love it. They will be able to come to our farm in the morning for a cup of coffee, pick fresh flowers and enjoy a bite to eat afterwards, all while taking in the gorgeous surroundings of our flower farm.”

INTERVIEW WITH THE OWNERS

What can people expect at the Park Winters Farmstand?

There will be a variety of things to do such as purchasing products from local vendors and our house made products as well as fresh and dried flowers from our farm. We’ll have an open bar where guests can order seasonal cocktails or local coffee and Farm Bites. Everything will be seasonal—we’ll have a watermelon margarita when it's watermelon season, figs in the late summer and tomato gazpacho during tomato season.

There will be elevated casual seasonal brunch offerings like sandwiches, soups, salads, cheese boards and desserts—all to be enjoyed al fresco while overlooking our picturesque flower farm and the Berryessa mountains.

How does the Farmstand contribute to the overall vision of Park Winters?

The Farmstand allows us to be open and more available to the public. We haven’t had consistent hours for our visitors outside of our annual events for Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s and Father’s Day.

We also strive to be a platform for local purveyors and creatives to include music, crafting, horticulture and poetry. Special events and experiences for _our Farm Club members and guests will create a lasting impression of the Park Winters Flower Farm and invite them to visit again.

What was your inspiration for opening the Farmstand?

We wanted to create a public environment in the middle of the countryside that’s welcoming, casual and family-friendly—with great music, amazing food, beverages and cocktails.

The Farmstand is an addition to the Park Winters Flower Farm which we’ve been expanding slowly. We offer flower picking, seasonal workshops, farm tours and movement classes. In addition, visitors can now enjoy food, beverages and shopping.

As the ethos for our farm is to recycle, repurpose and reuse, we aspire to be in line with all aspects of the farm. From our compost pile, to our flower rows, to our seed bank, our dried flower barn and workshops, to the food and beverages we serve and the products we sell.

How are you feeling about the opening?

We are so excited, as we’ve been living this adventure now for two years. Park Winters is our 12 year old child and the Farmstand is ready to be part of the family!

We’ve been through growing pains and many learning opportunities—finally ready to venture into a new opportunity to invite the public.

There’s been pent up requests from our customers inquiring about lunch and it’s exhilarating to offer our visitors Friday, Saturday and Sunday hours.

Is there something we should be looking forward to beyond seasonal brunches?

Yes—we’re hosting sunset and evening events with live music for our Farm Club members starting with our first Farm Dance Party on December 2!
